I developed this interactive presentation while working with an international NGO that desired to facilitate an inclusive food justice discussion. While there were plenty of folks growing food, the connections between race, class, and gender are not discussed or ignored. This presentation is an intersectional approach to food justice by dispelling the myth that food desert is a phrase that describes communities that require a just and fair food system. This presentation is the foundational workshop to help workshop attendees understand the why and what of Food justice.
